Journey Out
Journey Out is a Los Angeles-based nonprofit leading the fight for the freedom and survival of all those whose lives have been destroyed by sex trafficking or commercial sexual exploitation. With half of the staff being survivors of human trafficking, Journey Out aims to help victims of commercial sexual exploitation and sex trafficking leave a life of abuse and violence, overcome their fears, and empower them to reach their full potential and achieve their goals.
Journey Out provides services such as law enforcement crisis response, emergency housing, food, and clothing, art therapy, clinical counseling, legal referrals, job training, and etc.
CNN Freedom Project
CNN Freedom Day took place on March 11 to shed light on modern-day slavery - human trafficking. Journey Out and Future Unchained were both featured on the CNN Freedom Project promotional video to raise awareness of the issue and encourage participation on March 11.
